Undergrads

I've always loved "adult" cartoons (no thats not what I mean either) like The Simpsons, The Family, and have even been known to quietly admit liking The Family Guy. When I turned on Comedy Central one Sunday night a few months ago I saw that a cartoon was going to be on that I had never seen before called Undergrads. A quick check of Google showed that it has recently run for a short period of time on MTV. I pretty much figured that it was going to suck as anything tainted with MTV does.

I was wrong, I've watched every show (13 of them) since and its hilarious! Sadly though it seems like they only have these 13 episodes and still haven't been able to secure funding for more. Its a shame because they're probably funnier than The Simpsons have been lately. Fox killed The Family Guy by not promoting it much and then changing its time slot 8 times a month. I think if Undergrads had been promoted better it would have done alot better too. Its way funnier than something like South Park, but one got more exposure than the other. Anyway if you're bored you should watch a few episodes or even check out the website at http://www.undergrads.tv. Send a letter or fax or something to Comedy Central telling them you want more episodes and maybe they'll take care of the funding.

Nothing else exciting is going on, I just had to encourage everyone to watch Undergrads. I wish I'd known the show existed a year ago!

Yeah, this is one of those great shows that get zero exposure (Sports Night, Gary & Mike) and probably one of the best. It's a shame we'll likely never see a second season... But it IS worth a shot ain't it?

When I first tuned in, I was wary (not having fancied the "South Park" genre's "adult" brand of humour..But "Undergrads" was able to stay mature without trying to be gross-out/kick-ass. Whats more...we were actually able to identify with the characters/situations, albeit exaggerated. When you think about it, it was a lot like "Dilbert".A shame the program was unable to reach out to a wider audience..maybe its quieter and subtler nature(which endeared it to many of us) became its own undoing among an audience favoring the more violent kick-ass genre.

I just finished my first year at college, and I just wanted to say that this show IS that first year. The freshman frat boy, the freshman comnputer geek, the freshman always trying to get some, everything is there. It's a great show and definitly needs to air other times than 2 in the morning.

I watch it relgiously on Teletoon here in Canada @ 10pm every night, and I could only pray there will be more episodes. This cartoon is the best on TV currently and it true needs a second season.

I will do my part

This is An intresting All out best animated show ever.I have Been watching it since april 22 2001 when the first episode aired on teletoon till August 7th when i wrote this letter i swear if this show got a little more money for exposure it would do better that any animated show up to the simpsons (which is only more popular cause of its experience of 14 seasons). When the box dvd set come out I think instead of trying to make up for brodcasting money if the show flunks on comedy central( I really hope it is a sucess) i think you should use that money for exposure and congrats on already securing money from Teletoon In canada I have a whole high school in Canada that really wants more episodes of under grads and im gonna get there signatures and send a letter to comedy central and I hope that every who posts on this site does their part to get a second 3 and a fouth season on

man, i love this show, i mean, i loved the simpsons, but man, this one is awesome. it depicts the lives of regular people. this is probably a good reason why it's so popular, if i could find the box set of their first season, i would buy it, but until then, i guess i'm stuck to downloading and telling all my friends about it. the one good thing is, watching each episode over and over again on teletoon isn't boring, i mean, they play one at 11pm(atlantic) then 12am, so i can really get to pick out the little things to tell people to watch in each episode. well thats my opinion, undergrads rocks, and if they made anymore seasons, i think the world would love them, they just need money, and little more publicity. so rock on, and go undergrads

this show is awesome, and if your checking www.undergrads.tv there seem to be some rumors bout a possible second season, it might not be true but the recent posts in CC forums and activism is a big change in pace. im sending letter to comedy central and hopefully everyone does their part for a second season. if anyone has any info bout anything bout show email me at [email protected]. thanks

Not having a second season of this hilariously fun show would be next most stupid thing to cancelling the family guy off the air. nuff said.

HI HO THERE!

As with some people here, I practically worship this show, this jewel, this shining example that not everything that MTV produces is crap.

But one thing truly bugs me: the Nitz/Kimmy relationship. So, over at Fanfiction.net, I will be writing a story that continues the series, but forays into the fantastic: maiar spirits, mary-sues atop fell beasts, phaser attacks, and a dark enchantment designed for one dark purpose: the complete and utter demise of those known as Jesse and Nitz.

But AH! There are lights in the darkness. Being a LotR fanatic, I will concoct plans, peoples and events that fit with thy series, so that Nitzs' obsession will be smote, Jesse will finally get her man, Gimpy and Rocko will get the girls, and Cal will no longer haunt the darkest nightmares of the male student population.

For if the daugher of the nit and the nightengale is never born, all that come after shall die at Morgoths' hand.

Posted by: Gandalf the beige on January 22, 2004 07:41 PM

*enter Denethor Mode*
Just to reiterate: I would rather DIE than see Nitz date Kimmy Burton. To either suffer a long, slow sleep or burn like the heathen kings of old, I would not stand to live to see swarthy fanboys feast on the corpse of my 'ship.

*snaps out of it*
This must be some lathspell of Morgoths'. It must be, because Saruman is reformed and Sauron is dead. It must be. For why would Nitz drool over an over-achieving ditz like Kimmy while practically ignoring the dry wit, sense of adventure and sheer exotic beauty of the jewel of all Elvendom, The one named Jesse to get her in State U (because who can properly pronounce the name Tinuviel anymore, aside from nerds of such grandeur that not even Gimpy could dismis them), The one who had been there for him that year more often than his 3 other friends combined?

And to get a clue on just what the hell I'm talking about, follow my stories on Fanfiction.net. I hope you like them.
