Best mashtun I could find in a hurry. 2 gallons, $10 from walmart.

The washer on the included spigot was too thick so I just halved it with some scissors.
Valve assembly off my ice cube. No reason not to save some money.
Lid with spigot pulled off. At first I thought about just using the blow off hose over it, but its vented at the bottom so off it goes.
I planned to ferment in this cooler after the boiler but was concerned about heat of fermentation and it being insulated. Maybe next time.
1.5 gallons target post-boil, 3lbs of grain for my cranberry wheat beer.
Freshly crushed thanks to my barley crusher.
Started to stir the mash with a spatula but it was too bendy. I switched to a wooden spoon because I didn't want to scratch up the plastic incase I want to ever ferment in it.
A whole .25oz of hops. The cranberries are the star here. No aroma additions either.
It drains slower than the cube, but not bad.
